It may seem bizarre that a small family business, established in London pre 1914, making sofas based on 19th and early 20th century methods is using 21st century technology to promote them. However, if a new idea is a better idea we use it, if it isn't, we don't. Hard wood frames, coil sprung seat platforms have yet to be bettered. Modern fabrics and fillings are somewhat different.
We source covers from all the major suppliers, Blendworth, Sanderson, Ross, Monkwell to name but a few. Fillings have achieved a very high standard with the added benefit of safety. All fabrics, and fillings are fire retardant.
Traditional construction doesn't always mean old fashioned. Yes we have sofas that complement the 16th century farm house, but amongst others our new "BALI" and "BOSTON" designs suit perfectly the modern home.
Hand crafted methods offer you a rare benefit in today's world. If the sofa you love is too wide, we'll make it narrower. if the back is too low, we'll make it higher. If the seat is too hard, we'll make it softer. Within the confines of the basic design, we will make what YOU require.
